New York City's Dominican Day Parade was held Sunday, August 13, 2017. It started at 12 noon and ended about 4pm. The procession ran along 6th ave, between 36 Street and 53rd Street. Many Marcher's some with Political Statements, some colorful characters came out, including some character in a Donald Trump mask chasing marchers wearing Sombrero's. While Bill DeBlasio made an appearance waving the Dominican Flag, along with New York's Bravest and New York's Finest. Mr. Baseball of the NY Mets also made an appearance which seemed to lighten the mood and bring some cheers. The parade was dedicated to NYPD Officer Miosotis Familia, who was fatally shot in July in the Bronx. Still a lot of fun for the young and old on a beautiful sunny day in New York.
